Auspicious Autumn
Posted on October 4, 2008

It won't be long before we're needing the Minnesota Winter Hats I've been knitting! Our first 'winter' storm is on it's way in today and we might even get a dusting of snow. Brrr.

Here's Leonardo in our new gallery in Arizona, keeping company with Fritz Scholder's artwork.

Me, in front of my art hero, H. Joe Waldrum.

On the way home. This guy may need to become a painting.

Salt River Canyon. What a treat! We had no idea this was here.

We stopped by El Morro on the way home as well. This is the view up from the pool where water collects & travelers used to stop.

Here's Sir Baxter MacDoggel. See? He does match the stove.

A shot of Bax up in the woods during woodcutting last week.

That crazy hound! He LOVES to play.

Leonardo tackling our first of 2 trees. This one is dead, we just need to get it down.

Oops. Sometimes they don't want to cooperate.

Here's Tonka loaded up, just shy of a half-cord. The pink thing is our wood permit for this load.

Back at the ranch. The stack of wood behind Leonardo is two logs deep. We still have at least 6 loads to get before the winter snow comes...we've got maybe 4 to six weeks before that happens. If we're lucky!

Slainte, until next time!
