Before we start with the house, let's start with the view. This is standing in the yard looking left. Where you see "Truchas" is the end of the canyon, "Cañada Hondo." Then as we slowly turn to the right...

This is the 2nd view--the edge of the canyon across State Road 76. Continuing on...

Here is the 3rd part of the panorama...looking down toward Espanola Valley and Los Alamos on the other side of said valley...

Just a bit more to the right (west) and you see the corner of Pierre Delattre's studio/gallery. We're looking forward to being neighbors! Now, for the house itself.

If you turn around from where I took the view shots (in our driveway) this is the front view of the house.

Step back a bit more, across the road to the canyon's edge, this is a little better look at the front. We'll paint that wall and add a gate.

Walk up the driveway a bit & turn left looking toward Pierre's. This is our front yard and in Leonardo's minds eye--let's just say it will be full of marvelous native plants & flowers! We'll put a table and chairs out to sit under the tree too.

Continuing up the driveway and looking back, this is the east side of the house. Note the garage door, this is where Leonardo's workshop will start. It's got a concrete floor.

Here's a longer shot of the back of the house, from about our back wall. Now the property has a whole other "lot" beyond our back wall as we'll see...

Here is our back wall. We'll need to plaster it, but no worries. The property continues...

All the way back to those tall trees! Here, I'm standing at the back wall as I shoot this. Leonardo's walking by the old pad that the mobile home stood on. (We won't be having one of those.) We may use it as a foundation for new studios!

Here is our back-yard tree, a Chinese Elm. Not sure what the ones in front are yet. This can turn into a great BBQ area when we want privacy from the Highway in front.

This place doesn't look that bad now (well, the inside leaves lots to be desired0 but it's got tons of potential. The posts in front will, of course, be replaced with carved posts and corbels, SW style, doors & window will be changed out....
